Crying in the Car Before Walking Inside

There’s a moment…
and if you know, you know.

You sit in your car a little longer than usual.
The engine is off.
Your hands are still on the wheel.
And suddenly… everything you’ve been holding in all day starts to spill out.

The stress.
The overwhelm.
The pressure from work.
The weight of life that no one else really sees.

And there you are… crying in your car before walking into the house like everything is okay.

We’ve all had that moment.

The one where you take a deep breath, wipe your tears, check the mirror, and say,
“Okay… you got this.”

But deep down, you’re tired.

Tired of being strong.
Tired of carrying so much.
Tired of feeling like you have to keep it all together.

And maybe you’ve even whispered quietly,
“God… do You see me right now?”

The answer is yes.

He sees you in that car.
He sees every tear you try to hide.
He hears the prayers you don’t even have the words to say.

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” — Psalm 56:8

Not one tear is wasted.
Not one moment goes unnoticed.

Even in that quiet, hidden space…
God is right there with you.

You don’t have to pretend with Him.
You don’t have to be “put together.”
You don’t have to rush the healing.

That car… that moment… those tears…
they’re not weakness.

They’re release.
They’re honesty.
They’re human.

And sometimes, they’re exactly what your heart needed.

So if today you found yourself sitting in your car just trying to breathe…
just trying to hold it together…
just trying to make it through the day…

I want you to know this:

You are not alone.
You are not failing.
And you are definitely not unseen.

God sees you.
Right there… in that quiet moment no one else knows about.

And He’s not disappointed in you.
He’s near to you.

Take your time.
Breathe a little deeper.
Let it out if you need to.

Then when you're ready…
walk inside knowing you didn’t carry it alone.
