Finding Faith in a World That Feels Uncertain

Lately, I’ve been sitting with this heavy feeling in my chest.

You turn on the news and it’s war.
Famine.
Division.
Fear.
Israel in conflict.
Nations rising against nations.

It can feel like the world is unraveling right in front of us.

And if I’m being honest… some days it feels dark.

Not just politically dark.
Not just economically uncertain.
Spiritually heavy.

Like something deeper is happening beneath the surface.

Jesus warned us about this.

In Matthew 24, He said, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars… Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.”

He didn’t say it so we would panic.
He said it so we would not be deceived.

That changes everything.

When I see the headlines now, I remind myself — none of this surprises God.

Nothing unfolding in this world is catching Heaven off guard.

And still… I wrestle with it daily.

Because every day feels uncertain.
Every day feels like we don’t know what tomorrow holds.
Every day feels like we’re walking through a world that’s growing darker.

But here is what I am learning:

Darkness does not mean God is absent.
It means the light becomes more noticeable.

And maybe that is our calling in this season.

Not to live in fear.
Not to argue with the world.
Not to drown in headlines.

But to anchor ourselves deeper.

Because faith isn’t the absence of chaos.
Faith is stability in the middle of it.

If Jesus told us these things would happen, then this is not a time to shrink back.

This is a time to stand firm.

To pray more intentionally.
To guard our hearts.
To stay spiritually awake.
To refuse deception.
To keep our eyes on Him instead of constantly scanning the darkness.

We don’t fight against flesh and blood.
There is a spiritual heaviness in this world right now — and we overcome it by staying rooted in truth.

And here’s the gentle truth I hold onto:

If prophecy is unfolding… then promise is too.

He is still sovereign.
He is still returning.
He is still redeeming.
He is still protecting His people.

The world may feel unstable.

But our foundation doesn’t move.

If the world has been feeling heavy to you lately, you are not crazy. You are not overreacting. You are discerning.

But do not let discernment turn into dread.

Let it turn into deeper faith.

When you hear of wars…
When you see famine…
When you watch Israel in conflict…
Remember this:

He told us.
He warned us.
He prepared us.

So, we do not live afraid.

We live awake.

And awake believers shine the brightest in dark times.

Stay rooted.
Stay prayerful.
Stay steady.

Faith is not fading.

It’s being refined.
