How Growing Faith Is Growing My Faith Too

When I first started the Growing Faith blog, my heart was simple. I wanted to share encouragement, faith, and little reminders that God is always working—even when life feels uncertain.

What I didn’t expect was how much this journey would begin to change me too.

At first, writing felt like something I was doing for others. A place to share thoughts, scripture, and encouragement with anyone who might need it that day. But the more I started writing, reflecting, and showing up consistently, I realized something beautiful was happening.

Growing Faith wasn’t just helping others grow.

It was growing me too.

Writing these posts has made me slow down and really think about my relationship with God. Instead of rushing through the day and only going to Him when I needed something, I’ve found myself reflecting more, praying more, and paying closer attention to where God might be working in my life.

Sometimes that happens while writing a blog post.
Sometimes it happens when I’m listening to worship music or a podcast.
Sometimes it happens in quiet moments when I’m simply sitting with my thoughts.

But the biggest surprise has been how this blog holds me accountable in my own faith.

There are days when my mind tries to tell me different things.

Doubt creeps in.
Fear tries to take over.
Overthinking starts asking questions like “Am I doing enough?” or “Is this even working?”

Those thoughts can be loud.

But in those moments, I’ve learned to remind myself of something simple:

This is God’s work, not mine.

When I start feeling overwhelmed or questioning things, I remind myself that if God placed this on my heart, then He is the one guiding it. I’m simply showing up and trusting Him with the rest.

And that reminder changes everything.

Faith isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about trusting that God is working—even when our minds try to convince us otherwise.

Growing Faith has become more than a blog for me. It has become part of my own faith journey. A space where I’m reminded daily to listen, trust, and stay grounded in God’s purpose instead of my own worries.

And maybe that’s the real beauty of faith.

Sometimes when we step out to encourage others, God is quietly growing something inside of us too.
