Friday Faith Song: What an Awesome God

This weekend, I want us to sit with one simple truth:

God is still awesome.

Even in uncertainty.
Even in waiting.
Even in rebuilding seasons.

Today’s Friday faith song is What an Awesome God — and I love how it brings back that powerful reminder we grew up hearing, but in a fresh, worship-filled way.

Weekends can feel loud.
Busy.
Distracting.

But this song recenters your heart.

It reminds us:

• God reigns.

• God is holy.

• God is powerful.

• God is near.

And sometimes we need to declare that out loud.

When I hear it, I’m reminded that even in my rebuilding season…
even after losing my mom…
even while growing in my faith the past two years…

God never stopped being who He is.

He was still awesome when I didn’t fully understand Him.
He was still faithful when I was inconsistent.
He was still guiding when I felt lost.

That humbles me.

As you head into the weekend, ask yourself:

• Where have I minimized God in my mind?

• What situation do I need to remember He is bigger than?

• When was the last time I simply worshipped without asking for anything?

Let this be a worship weekend, not just a busy one.

Play the song in your car.
Clean your house with it on.
Sit quietly and just let the lyrics sink in.

“God, You are awesome because ______.”

Let your heart speak.
