Called by Name Loved by God

Some songs don't just play in the background—they speak directly to your heart.
This week's Weekend Song is "He Called Me" by Eugy Official, and it's one of those songs that reminds me of a simple but powerful truth: God knows my name.
There are days when I feel distracted, distant, or like I'm not doing enough. Maybe you've felt that way too. Life gets busy. We get tired. We make mistakes. Sometimes we wonder if God is disappointed in us or if we've wandered too far away.
But this song reminds me that before I ever knew Him, He knew me.
Before I ever called on His name, He called mine.
The Bible tells us:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." — Isaiah 43:1
What a beautiful promise.
God doesn't wait for us to have everything together before He calls us. He doesn't wait until we're perfect. He calls us in the middle of our mess, our doubts, our struggles, and our questions.
That's what makes His love so incredible.
Lately, I've been learning that faith isn't about getting everything right. It's about continuing to turn toward God, even when we feel far away. It's about trusting that He still wants a relationship with us, even on the days when we feel unworthy.
When I listen to "He Called Me," I'm reminded that my identity isn't found in my failures or my fears. My identity is found in the One who created me, loves me, and calls me His own.
So as we head into the weekend, I want to leave you with this reminder:
You are not forgotten.
You are not overlooked.
You are not too far gone.
God knows your name, and He is still calling you closer to Him.
Take a few minutes this weekend to listen to this song and reflect on what it means to be known and loved by God.
🤍 You've been called.
🤍 You've been chosen.
🤍 You belong to Him.
