Inviting God Into the Everyday Moments We Usually Overlook 🤍

Inviting God Into the Everyday Moments We Usually Overlook 🤍

There was a time when I thought my life needed to look bigger to be meaningful.

Maybe more plans.
More people.
More adventures.
More “important” moments.

But if I am honest… my life is pretty simple.

Most of my days are work.

Coming home.

Spending time with my kid.

Sometimes seeing one or two friends.

Working on my blog.

Trying to read more.

Trying to stay connected to God.

And somewhere in that simplicity, God started showing me something:

He was never waiting for the “big moments.”

He wanted the ordinary ones too.

We often invite God into our hard seasons.

When we are hurting.

Lost.

Confused.

Scared.

But what about work shifts?

Car rides?

Lunch breaks?

Folding clothes?

Writing emails?

Playing with our children?

Scrolling less and opening our Bible instead?

What if God wanted those moments too?

I think sometimes we accidentally separate our spiritual life from our everyday life.

We make prayer a moment.

Church a place.

Bible reading a task.

Meanwhile God is saying:

“Invite Me into all of it.”

Invite Me into work.

Invite Me into motherhood.

Invite Me into your tiredness.

Invite Me into your overthinking.

Invite Me into your ordinary Tuesday.

For me, staying connected to God is something I actively try to do every day because life gets busy.

Work happens.

Responsibilities happen.

The world gets loud.

And sometimes faith can quietly move to the background without us even realizing it.

So I am learning to bring Him back into the small moments.

Talking to Him while driving.

Thanking Him during lunch.

Praying before work.

Thinking about Him while writing blog posts.

Asking Him to guide my parenting.

Letting Him be part of my entire day.

Because He already is.

Proverbs reminds us:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Not some ways.

All your ways.

Even the ordinary ones.

Colossians 3:17 says:

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”

Whatever you do.

Work.

Parenting.

Friendships.

Rest.

Ordinary life.

God is not asking us to have perfect schedules or perfect faith.

He is asking us to walk with Him.

Daily.

Little by little.

Moment by moment.

So today, maybe the invitation is simple:

God, come into my everyday life.

Not just my prayers.

Not just my struggles.

My whole day.

My whole heart.

My whole life.

Even the ordinary parts.

Especially the ordinary parts 🤍
