Faith Over Feelings 🀍

Faith Over Feelings 🀍

There are so many moments in life when our feelings try to convince us of something that simply isn't true.

Anxiety tells us to worry.

Doubt tells us God won't come through.

Comparison tells us we're behind in life.

Fear tells us the future isn't going to work out.

I've learned that I can't let my feelings become louder than my faith.

My faith should always overpower my feelings.

That doesn't mean I never struggle. I do. Anxiety, doubt, and feeling behind in life are some of the biggest battles I face. There are days when my emotions feel overwhelming and I question whether I'm where I'm supposed to be.

But I've realized something important: feelings change, while God never does.

When my mind starts racing, I remind myself to give it to God.

Not because it's always easy.

Not because my feelings disappear overnight.

But because I've learned that carrying it myself only leaves me exhausted.

God never asked me to carry every worry, every fear, or every unanswered question. He simply asks me to trust Him.

Sometimes trusting God means praying even when I don't feel like it.

Sometimes it means opening my Bible when anxiety tells me nothing will change.

Sometimes it means choosing to believe God's promises over the stories my emotions are trying to tell me.

I don't think our feelings are bad. God created us with emotions. They help us process life, love others, and recognize when we're hurting.

The problem comes when our feelings begin leading our lives instead of our faith.

When anxiety tries to take control, I remind myself to give it to God.

When doubt creeps in, I choose to trust God anyway.

When I feel behind, I remember that God isn't comparing my timeline to anyone else's.

His plan for my life is different from everyone else's, and His timing is always perfect.

Faith isn't pretending everything is okay.

Faith is trusting that God is still working even when I can't see what He's doing.

If you're struggling today, I want to encourage you with this:

Don't let your feelings make decisions your faith should be making.

Give your worries to God.

Give Him your doubts.

Give Him your fears.

Give Him the pressure you feel to keep up with everyone else.

You don't have to carry it anymore.

Choose faith over feelings.

Not because your feelings aren't real, but because God's promises are greater than anything your emotions could ever tell you.Β
