Exodus 11 — The Final Warning
Summary
Exodus 11 brings us to the final warning before the last plague in Egypt.
God tells Moses that one more plague will come upon Pharaoh and Egypt. After this plague, Pharaoh will finally let the Israelites go — and not just let them go, but drive them out completely.
God also tells Moses that the Israelites are to ask the Egyptians for silver and gold. The Lord gives the Israelites favor in the eyes of the Egyptian people, and Moses is highly respected throughout Egypt.
Moses then delivers God’s final warning to Pharaoh.
Around midnight, every firstborn son in Egypt will die — from Pharaoh’s household to the household of the lowest servant, along with the firstborn of the cattle.
There will be a great cry throughout Egypt unlike anything before it.
But God makes a clear distinction between Egypt and Israel. The Israelites will be protected, showing that God has set His people apart.
Moses tells Pharaoh that after this happens, Pharaoh’s officials will come to him and beg the Israelites to leave.
Then Moses leaves Pharaoh in anger.
The chapter ends by reminding us that Pharaoh’s heart remains hardened, setting the stage for the final plague and the Passover.

3. God’s promises will happen in His timing.
Life Application
Exodus 11 reminds us that there comes a point when we must stop resisting what God is telling us.
Pharaoh had seen miracle after miracle, yet his heart stayed hardened.
That is a warning for us too.
When God speaks to our hearts, we should respond with humility instead of stubbornness.
This chapter also encourages anyone who has been waiting on God.
The Israelites had waited a long time for freedom.
They could not see everything God was doing behind the scenes, but their breakthrough was getting closer.
Sometimes you may feel like nothing is changing.
But God may be preparing something you cannot see yet.
Keep trusting Him.
Keep obeying Him.
His timing is never careless.

Encouragement
If you are in a waiting season, do not assume God has forgotten you.
The Israelites had waited for freedom for a long time, but God was still working.
Exodus 11 shows us that sometimes the moment before breakthrough can still feel uncertain.
You may not see the full picture yet, but God does.
Trust His timing.
Stay close to Him.
Keep moving forward in obedience.
What God promised is still in His hands.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being patient with me and for continuing to guide me.
Help me recognize when You are correcting me and give me a humble heart that is willing to listen and obey.
Please remove any stubbornness, pride, or fear that keeps me from fully surrendering to You.
When I am waiting for answers, remind me that You have not forgotten me.
Help me trust Your timing even when I cannot see what You are doing.
Give me faith to believe that You are working behind the scenes and that Your plans are good.
